Tour Plan

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe, heading west toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours, passing through rural villages, rolling hills, and lush tea plantations.

Enjoy a lunch stop in Fort Portal, a town known for its scenic beauty at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. After lunch, continue the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the late afternoon.

Check in at your lodge and, if time allows, go for a short scenic drive or relax while enjoying the sunset over the park’s open savannah.

Day 02 Chimpanzee Trekking and Evening Nature Walk

Wake up early and head to Kyambura Gorge, also known as the “Valley of Apes”, for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. A park ranger will lead you into the forest, where you will search for a habituated group of chimpanzees.

The trek offers an opportunity to observe the chimps in their natural habitat, listen to their vocalizations, and witness their playful interactions. Along the way, you may also encounter other primates, forest elephants, and unique bird species.

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the evening, embark on a guided nature walk through the park, where you may spot antelopes, warthogs, and various bird species while enjoying the breathtaking landscapes.

Day 03 Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Start the day with a sunrise game drive in Kasenyi Plains, one of the best wildlife viewing areas in the park. This is the perfect time to see lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, and Uganda kobs. Your guide will take you to the best locations for wildlife spotting while sharing insights about the park’s ecosystem.

Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation.

In the afternoon, head to the Kazinga Channel for a boat safari. This waterway is home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of hippos and crocodiles, along with hundreds of bird species, including African fish eagles and kingfishers. The boat cruise offers a relaxing way to enjoy the park’s beauty while watching elephants and buffaloes along the shores.

Day 4: Transfer Back to Kampala or Entebbe

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely drive out of the park, with a chance for a final game drive en route. Stop at the Equator monument for a photo opportunity before continuing the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the evening.

This marks the end of your incredible 4-day safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
