Day 1: Pick Up from Kigali International Airport and Transfer to Akagera National Park

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, your guide will meet you and transfer you to Akagera National Park. The drive to the park takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, with scenic views of Rwanda's rolling hills and lush landscapes. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge or camp and relax. Depending on your arrival time, you may have an evening game drive or a relaxing evening at the lodge.

Day 02 Full Day Game Drive in Akagera National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in Akagera National Park, where you can explore the park's diverse landscapes, including savannah, wetlands, and forested areas. You will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and rhinos. Akagera is also home to predators like lions and leopards, so keep an eye out for these elusive creatures.

Day 03 Full Day Game Drive and Community Visit in Akagera National Park

Today, you will continue your exploration of Akagera National Park with a morning game drive, where you'll visit different parts of the park that you haven’t yet explored. After the game drive, head to a nearby local community for a cultural visit. This visit allows you to experience the lifestyle, culture, and traditions of the people living near the park. You may have the opportunity to interact with locals, visit their homes, and learn about their agricultural practices, music, dance, and crafts.

Return to your lodge for lunch, and in the afternoon, you may take another short game drive or enjoy some leisure time to relax and appreciate the scenic surroundings of the park.

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali to Catch Flight

After breakfast, you will begin your journey back to Kigali for your flight. The drive to Kigali will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, giving you a final opportunity to enjoy Rwanda’s landscapes. Depending on your flight time, you may have a brief stop in Kigali to explore the city or do some last-minute shopping before heading to the airport.
