Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali – Akagera National Park & Boat Safari on Lake Ihema
Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Kigali. After a scenic 2.5-hour drive through Rwanda’s famous rolling hills, you’ll arrive at Akagera National Park.
Enjoy a game drive where you’ll spot herds of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, giraffes, and zebras roaming the savannah. In the afternoon, head out for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema, the perfect opportunity to watch pods of hippos, basking crocodiles, and dazzling birdlife along the shores. Dinner and overnight at your lodge inside or near the park.

Day 2: Sunrise Game Drive – Return to Kigali
